EMAIL SECURITY NOTICE

EMAIL PRIVACY AND SECURITY: The confidentiality of Internet e-mail cannot be guaranteed. Do not include private or confidential information such as Social Security numbers, passwords, etc., in e-mails or via “Contact Us” forms when corresponding to Acumen Tax Service or Acumen Consulting LLC. FAX TRANSMISSION SECURITY: Electronic fax services that utilize email for document delivery are not secure. Use a fax machine connected to a telephone line, or a commercial fax service that encrypts the document while transiting over the Internet. Faxes received by Acumen Consulting LLC are encrypted and stored on a commercial provider’s system until retrieved by Acumen. Faxes of non-public personal information sent by Acumen originate from the commercial provider’s portal, and do not transit the Internet via email or any other unencrypted means.
